Adult Sunday School

St. Stephen’s offers Sunday School classes for all ages.

AMPT Praise Team

During our contemporary service, St. Stephen’s has a small group of singers and an audio team that work together to lead the congregation in worship.


Currently, we use instrumental tracks or sing along with lyric videos, but we would love to have a REAL BAND!

Appalachian Service Project (A.S.P.)

St. Stephen’s donates to Appalachian Service Project financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering.


ASP is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia.


St. Stephen’s has sent several volunteers to different states through the years.

Ben & Rosie Cubbage Ministry

St. Stephen’s supports Ben and Rosie Cubbage, and their family with financial gifts and prayer. 



Campus Crusade (C.R.U.)

St. Stephen’s donates to CRU financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering.


CRU is a community passionate about connecting people to Jesus Christ. 

Card Ministry

Our “Card Ministry” consists of writing and sharing a message to the men and women of St. Stephen’s that are shut in or sick.


Cards and messages are also sent to our Military men and women.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir enriches worship each Sunday by singing during our traditional worship service.


Our Chancel Choir is under the direction of Dot Baker. 

Chesapeake Chrysalis

Three days of singing, learning, laughing, worshiping and reflecting & praying.


Chrysalis strengthens our spiritual lives.

Chesapeake Walk to Emmaus

Experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation. It is an opportunity to meet Jesus Christ in a new way as God’s grace & love is revealed to you through other believers.

Children & Youth Sunday School Classes

Sunday School is offered for children and youth up to 12th grade.

Christ Connections

Christ Connections is our youth group for 6th to 12th graders. The youth meet every Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.


Christ Connections is under the direction of Paul James, Tammy Jenkins, Cecilia Lehman, and Dale Spraker.

Christian Kitchen

Christian Kitchen provides a free lunch to people in need EVERY SATURDAY, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Camelot Hall.

Christian Shelter

Christian Shelter is a temporary, emergency shelter providing safe housing and meals for men, women and children who are homeless.


St. Stephen’s donates to Christian Shelter financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering, and also periodically through the year, giving items needed. 

Christmas Program (Sunday School)

The children, young adults and adult Sunday School present a Christmas Program during the Christmas season.

Church Socials

St. Stephen’s has several church socials throughout the year, bringing our congregations close together with food and fellowship.

Coat Drive

St. Stephen’s provides the gift of warmth in the Winter by providing coats to the homeless and the needy.

Community Carol Sings

Our annual Carol Sing brings the church and community together by singing Christmas carols together. Following the Carol Sing, everyone is invited to Camelot Hall for soup, sandwiches, and cookies. 


For several years, the church partnered with Delmar Middle & Senior High school and the event was held in the school auditorium.

Community Love Light Tree

Lights are put on an outdoor Christmas Tree in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Proceeds go towards the missions of St. Stephen’s Church.

Crisis Pregnancy Center (Georgetown, DE)

A center dedicated to giving complete up to date and accurate information regarding pregnancy, sexual, health and relationships.

Delaware Food Bank

St. Stephen’s offers its parking-lot as a drop-off location. The truck comes the 2nd Monday of each month. Members of the church help with the distribution as a way of giving back to the community.

Delmar Assisted Living

Delmar Elementary School

St. Stephen’s participates in a “Back to School Drive” before school starts back. School supplies and other essential needs are collected.

Delmar Fire Department

St. Stephen’s supports their local fire department with financial donations and prayers.

Delmar Middle & Senior High School

St. Stephen’s participates in a “Back to School Drive” before school starts back. School supplies and other essential needs are collected.

Delmar Nursing Home

The nursing home in Delmar is within walking distance of the church. The children of the church visit the nursing home a few times a year with something for the residents. We have taken tissues, Valentine’s cards, and palms for Palm Sunday.

Delmar Teen Challenge (Seaford, DE)

Their purpose is restoring broken lives who have been affected by issues like anger, rebellion, depression, drug/alcohol abuse and other life controlling problems.


St. Stephen’s donates to Delmarva Adult and Teen Challenge financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering.

Fall Festival

Celebrating and sharing the beginning of the Fall Season with our community with bake goods, oyster sandwiches, tractor rides, fire engine rides, yard sale, petting zoo, and spiritual music.

Funeral Meals

Church members provide food for funeral receptions.

Gideons

The Gideons International is an Association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating together for service, sharing personal testimony, and by providing Bibles and New Testaments. While we are often recognized for our work with hotels, we also place and distribute Scriptures in strategic locations so they are available to those who want them, as well as to those who may not know they need them.


St. Stephen’s has given financially to the Gideons in the past. 

Giving Tree

St. Stephen’s adopts at least one needy family every Christmas.

Good Ole Boy Foundation

St. Stephen’s donates to Good Ole Boy Foundation financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering. Funds help support the homeless and members of the community.

Hand Bell Choir

Members of our church making beautiful music with hand bells.

Harvest Ministries

Several members of St. Stephen’s volunteer at this Christian based thrift store.


St. Stephen’s donates to Harvest Ministries financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering. Funds help support the homeless and members of the community.

Home of Hope

Home of Hope is a 12-to-18-month residential program for women, including pregnant women and women with young children up to pre-school age. The program offers recovery support in a loving, safe and stable home environment for both mother and child who are caught in a cycle of dysfunction. They will experience hope – and a promising future through residential care and guidance.


St. Stephen’s donates to Home of Hope financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering. St. Stephen’s also donates prayer shawls to the program when new residents enter. 

Israel Support

St. Stephen’s donates financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering to support Israel. 

KIDZ Church

This is a Sunday School for Pre-K to 6th grade. KIDZ Church is offered during our traditional service in our church hall and allows parents to enjoy the service in our sanctuary.

Operation Christmas Child

Sharing God’s love with children in need by packing a gift filled shoe box. Every shoe box delivered by Operation Christmas Child is a tangible expression of God’s amazing love.

Philadelphia Pentecostal Church

St. Stephen’s helps the church feed the homeless.

Prayer Chain

This is a group of people that are on a prayer chain to pray for people that are in need.

Prayer Group

A group comes together weekly to pray for the people on our Prayer List and the many issues of the work of the church.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The shawls are handmade by those in the Prayer Shawl ministry. They are prayed over, asking God to give the recipient many blessings of courage, strength, and comfort & to be a reminder of God’s presence. Before given to the recipient, they are blessed in a church service in which the entire church prays.

Salisbury Urban Ministries

Their mission is developing and implementing programs that serve and minister to the needs to impoverish people.

Samaritan's Purse

It is an evangelical Christian humanitarian and organization that provides aid to people in physical need as key part of Christian mission.


St. Stephen’s donates to Samaritan’s Purse financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering. When the church sees special needs, additional donations are often given.

Tent Ministry

Our mission is to deliver Christ-centered leadership training and coaching for communities, classrooms and the Church.


Their vision is to raise up young people with compassion, character and faith in Jesus Christ who have the imagination, moral fiber and tenacity to lead in all walks of life.

Vacation Bible School

A specialized form of religious education which focuses on children. This program is offered in the summer and is made possible by the members of the church.

Voice of the Martyrs

The Voice of the Martyrs is a nonprofit, interdenominational Christian mission organization dedicated to serving our persecuted family worldwide through practical and spiritual assistance and leading other members of the body of Christ into fellowship with them.


St. Stephen’s donates to Voice of the Martyrs financially once a year, during a month when the ministry is selected as its second Sunday offering.
